Prior to opening South Breeze Day Camp, PJ and Eric were directors of the prestigious Hampton Country Day Camp in East Hampton, N.Y.
Eric grew up at camp, spending his summers first at day camp and later at residential camp. A graduate of Syracuse University, with a graduate degree from Carnegie Melon University, Eric continued to spend summers in leadership at camp. Eric has made a name for himself in the camp world, providing exceptional summer experiences for children, mentoring staff and developing quality sports programming for campers of all ages.
PJ’s camp spirit and enthusiasm is contagious. Campers are drawn to her creativity and energy. Parents love her sensitivity and insight to campers’ individual needs. PJ holds a dual degree in Psychology and Theatre Arts from Franklin and Marshall College. With a background in performing arts and event production, PJ is the driving force behind our unique special events, creative curriculum and highly spirited camper counselor interaction. PJ has served as a role model and mentor for many young adults as they develop into caring compassionate child-care specialists.

Our dynamic leadership team is comprised of experienced coaches, artists and educators, all working toward the common goal of providing your child the best possible summer experience in a safe, friendly environment. Camp Leaders are selected for their energy, enthusiasm, patience and understanding as well as their depth and breadth of knowledge. The Leadership Team reviews each camper’s day, everyday and keeps you informed of your child’s progress as campers explore, learn new skills and make new friends.
South Breeze counselors are high-energy, caring people who share the common bond of wanting to help children explore new interests, make friends and have fun. All of our staff must pass a rigorous interview process, background screening, and training program before becoming a part of the South Breeze team. Our camper to counselor ratio is kept low to ensure that your child gets all the attention they need to feel safe and supported. With this kind of support campers feel free to try new things and make new friends. Counselors are mentors, role models and friends to our campers.
